Got clue two of Rhododendron Trail cut out earlier this week. Been more fatigued than usual most likely due to doing some deep cleaning of the living room and sewing room on Monday. I had to do some, rest some, and Kathy helped but I was so glad to do it before we put the Christmas stuff up. It needed it.
Today I got the last geese sewn for clue two. Clue three comes out tomorrow. Hope it is easier. I did my geese the Bonnie way since the wings were different colored and mirrored. I just did not want to wrap my tired head around trying to figure that out Eleanor Burnes' way. I have gotten pretty good at making geese this way after so many Bonnie quilts!
Barb worked on hers all day long the EB way and managed to mix up the cutting on the neutral and color fabrics. She made it to the last step before discovering (sewing ALL DAY) that her geese will not be the right colors so she has to start over. She is thinking of skipping the entire thing at this point. Bummer, I like having someone to keep me going and Kathy is not doing it this year either. She is still working on Frolic, though has only sewn three or four times in the past year and a half.
In my health saga...diagnosed with hypothyroidism and put on meds. Naturopath thinks I may have Lyme's so will be tested for that again soon. A few other things were off in my bloodwork. I saw a new PCP today and really liked her. She put in for a walker for me. Crazy how fast your health can go.

I’m up for the Log Cabin block
Also follow BH and am a big fan
Cutting BH’s way works best for me and there are either good leftovers or no waste
Hope your health improves ,
If it helps you feel any better, I'm behind you on the Rhododendron Trail Mystery Quilt. I had a remodel project get moved up 2 weeks and I haven't yet been able to start, but I have been grabbing the pdfs so I can get started next week.
You must be missing your friends who got together for the mystery each year. Hopefully you can get some encouragement through online links.
If I was Barb, I think I would just wait and see what happens in the next steps of the mystery, rather than re-making the geese at this stage. It may be that she can make a unique variation of the design by using her flying geese the way they are.
Sorry to hear that you are having so many health challenges, Andee!! Best of luck choosing your RSC22 block. I haven't had time to figure out a plan for next year, but will be continuing the Table Scraps Challenge. It's going to be a little different for 2022. More on that closer to the end of the month.
I am working on clue 3 for rhodo I like the log cabin love too
Sorry to hear your health hasn't been good. I'm sure more quilting helps with all health challenge (probably not as helpful as medication LOL!)
I think your friend Barb should just move ahead with the colour changes she accidentally made and she will end up with a unique version of the mystery!
I'm so sorry that you are doing poorly and I hope the meds work. You're right, health can change so fast. Great looking bits for your Bonnie quilt. For next year, I vote for CHain and Hourglass for RSC. They would make a festive quilt!
I am sooo sorry to hear about your health issues! I need to go back to read deeper. Oh man...
My votes are definitely for the butterfly blocks, log cabin love, and Change of Heart. They all look like fun blocks!
First off - I vote for log cabin love! Sorry to hear you are still suffering with various health issues. I too got the thyroid diagnosis this summer. My follow up is this week but it appears from the lab work last week the meds are helping. So glad you got a new PCP and like her. I changed mine this year and am very happy I did. Sending you healing thoughts.
