Secret Agent Mystery and More!

Here is the key to my Secret Agent Mystery.
We made a pocket as part of the first mission.
Everyone is doing fun posts with their agent names, so here is mine!

Here is the second mission, completed yesterday.

And here is my second mission post.  As you can see, Ros decided to join in the fun and do this mystery too!  Dr. Kathy is also doing it.  Super fun!

I also managed to finish the Cuts and Bolts mystery for 2023.  Love how it came out with my controlled scrappy choices based on the border fabric.

I also got my A Quilting Life BOM top together.  Also super happy with how this one came out!

Merry Mayhem #148 NYD Mystery 2024

Today BJ and I sewed online (and Andrea popped in).  She was working on her Cuts and Bolts mystery, and I was working on my surprise clue seven from Indigo Way.  As usual I did the math wrong and this time instead of cutting half the units, I cut double the units.  I have many leftover that I can sew or bag up for future.  I need to put these hourglass blocks into the blocks, but that is for tomorrow maybe.

This is the bonus Eye Spy quilt I managed to get sewed while working on the mysteries this year.  I need to add a border to it.
The following pictures are in backwards order of clues for Merry Mayhem.  I am loving how my blocks came out (I have more blocks than what is pictured) and have decided to add the sashing, but to swap out the light colored cornerstones and use either all red, or red, green and dark blue.
I like it okay without the sashing too, but since the sashing is already cut and makes it bigger, I may as well use it.

These blocks are Becky's.  Looking forward to seeing how all three of ours turn out!

Spinout--Cuts and Bolts Mystery 2023!

I spent yesterday sewing Spinout--the Cuts and Bolts NYE Mystery for 2023.  I only did the baby size so plenty of time to cut and sew an

I somehow cut the wrong size large dark blue triangles so I had to cut some more and ran out of the dark fabric...so on to a more medium fabric but it works.
BJ and Barb sewed with me too.  Barb did her own baby size quilt and BJ did her cutting and started sewing a larger one.
You can see my piles of Eye Spy that I was cutting here too.
I turned the corners on this quilt.  Decided to leave them.  Looks fine overall.
Still have a few more rows done to add to this Eye Spy today.

Here is the finished Spinout!  Mine above and Barb's below.  I like hers better!

A Whole Lot of Mysteries Going on!

Here is clue 5 of Indigo Way.  I chose this brown fabric with other colors for my "special" fabric last minute.  It has several of the colors from the quilt so it should work.

Here is clue 6 which I finished yesterday.  Very excited to be keeping up with Indigo Way!

Here is the completed cutting for tomorrow's Merry Mayhem Case # 148 Twist and Shout!
While Becky and Barb were sewing (and I was all caught up), I needed something to sew, so finally got around to this paper pieced snowman! Pretty sure I first saw it on Kathy's Quilts in 2008!  It marinated a long time.  The pattern seems to not be available anymore on Wendy's Quilting Place where it originated from.
This is a little bothy house.  Apparently a thing in Scotland.  I had to have one for my bookshelf!  Crazy, but so cute!

Here is clue two of Cuts and Bolts New Year's Eve 2023 mystery quilt.  Sewing today, so on to clue 3!

Indigo Way Clue 4 and Two Mystery Flimsies Come Together!

I participated in the game exchange this year in one of my facebook groups (I missed it last year) and am thrilled to finally own Wingspan!  I cannot wait to play it.  Thanks Secret Santa!

Kathy hung a clothesline up high in my sewing room!  Super excited to have some of my little quilts on display.  I have two drape rods hung (one in bedroom and one in living room) and I change out the table topper size quilts by season on both of those.  I also use seasonal table runners and table toppers, but I still have many small quilts that are not getting displayed.  I may have to get Kathy to hang another clothesline or figure out another way to showcase the little ones.  I used to change them out (on the fireplace) but that is not a good plan with them way up high and with a pushpinned clothesline!  Considering covering the outer half of the closet door since it is white space.  Any other ideas for displaying all my little quilts?

This is Kathleen Tracey's Winter Mystery Quilt 2023.  Three little parts that came together really quickly.  She has a facebook group and surprises us with fun stuff like this occasionally.

This one is Kim Diehl's Double-Dipped Mystery.  She also had this in a table topper.  I really like how this one came out!  It was also three parts and came together quickly.  Both of these mini mysteries were made by Barb and Becky too.  Not sure if they have theirs both done yet though.  The three of us have a standing sewing day of Thursdays and if I am well enough I join them for as long as I can manage.
Clue 4 of Indigo Way had me buying a giant box of clips.  I got it finished two days before clue 5 came out (which I am starting today).

Last Thursday I chose fabrics, did the cutting and the presewing for the Cuts and Bolts NYE mystery.  I am making the baby size to I went with blue, lighter blue, pink and yellow.

Yesterday Indie had an appointment, so Dad took the day off and took her to it, but we kept Hazel anyway.  Kathy had the day off so we made cutout cookies with Hazel.  She loved rolling out the cookies and later frosting/eating the frosting!  They taste great (might be the best cut out cookies I have ever made).  I also used the frosting recipe from The Preppy Kitchen.

Progress on Indigo Way Mystery Quilt

I made a cute little bag for Coleman's family for Christmas.  I put a large travelling checker game in there for them to take camping.
Here is my oops from En Provence (I think) that could possibly wind up in a second colorway of Indigo Way.  Since I made the first clue in the wrong color and already have this one, I am practically halfway there.  Doubt it will happen, but you never know.
Here is clue three of Indigo Way complete.  I have one extra set I think.

My Quilting Mojo is Going Strong!

Clue one of Indigo Way is complete.  Clue two in progress here.

I finished up clue two yesterday...just in time for clue three tomorrow.

Kathleen Tracey Winter Mystery clue one.

And clue two!
Kim Diehl Double-Dipped Mystery Stitchalong clues one, two and three are done.

A Quilting Life BOM--last block is done.  I picked out the sashing and border fabric too.
I need to make two more stars for tiny cornerstones.  They are in progress.

Summer Sewing!

I have not been sewing too much this summer.  Playing lots of games and reading lots of books instead.  Barb keeps on trying to get me in th...
