One Little Green Block

I have been doing just a tiny bit of sewing.  I got this little bow ties block done in green for the Rainbow Scrap Challenge Sampler.

We already did green but this month is lights and brights.  I don't think I will be adding any more lozenges, because I cut from all the greens I had in my bin already even if they were not dark the first time around.  I have a total of 377 lozenges now--my goal was 405 so almost there and we have several colors to go!  If I get bored this month I may start putting them into four patches or something to get started on the assembly.

I have done a bit of other sewing this weekend, but I cannot show it yet because some is for my Santa Swap Sack partner and some is the start of Christmas gifts.  I will be writing a blog post as I make the stuff, but it won't be coming out til we swap in December-ish!

Kathy's birthday is today and she is home from the hospital after three nights and four days there for cellulitis and sepsis.  She is still not feeling great, but fever is gone and she is happy to be home.  I made her chicken fajittas for lunch and she got some clothes (to include a new Red Sox shirt) so she is getting the royal treatment today.  It is also my favorite sister Tina's birthday today.  Usually we go up and celebrated those two and me and my mom all together about the 3rd since two fall on the day, however we decided to change it up and do it later in the month this year.  Mom and Dad are heading home to Wisconsin next week for 10 days so we will celebrate after they come back.

I don't really feel like sewing today (what, I know!) so I think I am going to go read a book and take it easy for awhile, maybe tonight I will sew some more!

Your block is very pretty, and since you had a loaves one in the hospital, I'm impressed you finished any sewing!
