Blogger's Qult Festival!

I wanted to jump in the Blogger's Quilt Festival and post my favorite quilt! It is really hard to choose one and I suspect when I get back my Double Delight from my longarmer that will be my new favorite, but since I don't have that one back yet I had to go with my Outside the Box quilts...yes there are two (same pattern from my favorite quilting book "The Modern Quilt Workshop") and the colors are a little different and the second one is a little larger than the first one. My daughter and my honorary daughter each own these quilts and one day I will make another one since I love the fact that is isn't a difficult quilt to make and that it looks like the squares float like a shadow or something above the full squares. If I really had to pick one of these for a favorite I would go with the first since it was my introduction to these modern quilts and led me to other awesome patterns along the same line!

lovely!! was this a "Crazy Mom Quilts" pattern? I recall her having a Bento Box something-er-other and always wanted to make one, but....HA....well, like most of us quilters..."So many patterns, so little time."

That brown really makes these quilt bi-gender! LOVE the colors with the brown!

Now you're making me head out to see what the Quilt Festival is all about! :0)

I LOVE your palette! What a great job you did with the pattern! Those blues and aquas really make it. Well done! And thanks for the kind comment on Craft Nectar.

That is a fantastic quilt design that I wouldn't have guessed is easy to piece. I love brown with brights and made a quilt a few months ago for my daughter with that colorway. You should be an expert by the time you finish your own version of this pattern :). Thanks for sharing your quilts' stories.
