Rainbow Scrap Challenge for January!

I am so excited to be getting started on the Rainbow Scrap Challenge over at Angela's blog!  The picture above is hers--she is planning on having us make sawtooth star blocks with different sampler blocks in the center.  I love this idea!  I really enjoy the rainbow quilts every year and trying to keep up with the blocks as they come out.  So tonight I made  the two blue blocks for the center of this quilt.
The first one was the whirling geese block.  Not sure I did the best with the contrast, but I like it.
The second one was card trick...this one was a little tricky and involved a little unsewing..hard to keep all those tiny parts in the right place, but I am tickled with how it turned out!  This is the first month of the challenge so join us!  Angela does a linky each Saturday and it is fun to see what others are making or if they are making this it is fun to see the fabrics they chose!
Linking up with the Rainbow Scrap Challenge!

The color contrast is great in the card trick block! It turned out great!

Andee, I will be doing this quilt, too! The Card Trick block was so much fun, and I agree it was tricky to make sure you didn't twist the block wrong.
