Isabella's Baby Map Quilt and Night and Day in Progress

Here is my cousin Tricia and David's new baby girl, Isabella Martha's map quilt! They planned to decorate her room in maps since they love to travel and I am sure Isabella will be seeing the world with them. Kathy happily helped me with all the cutting on this, including the flying geese which made it go together much quicker than I expected. And since I am not good at Math--or at realizing that doing the geese the Eleanor Burnes way make four per square set not two. So I have enough geese for another quilt half made and will be putting them in another fun quilt for someone else! Finally, a happy quilting mishap, haha!

And here is Night and Day coming along! I have two rows and two blocks made and have just barely started on the next group of strip sets. So it is one third together...queen size quilts kill me. On the up side my cousin Tara and her new hubby Tommy saw the pic and love it!
Thanks Amy for the sewing marathon...I enjoyed checking in on you and Angela's progress and got lots accomplished today!

Those extra flying geese will look great in a new quilt. The dots are just too cute. The night and day looks really complicated, but knowing Elanor Burns, I'm sure it isn't too hard. Queen size though -- good luck with that!
