Clue One Done and Other Weekend Happenings!

Just had to share the duck lip picture of us quilting divas with our Celtic Solstice Capes!  What a hoot!  Me, Ann, Celeste, Kelli, Kathy, and Ros!

Kathy and I went hiking Sunday morning to South Mountain.  We ventured off the main path and climbed another mountain.  Really was fun, coming down one spot was quite a challenge though.  We also got a lot of comments and gestures on our Packers/Patriots attire since it was a few hours before the big game!
When I got home I knew I had to get to Wild and Goosey so I could do my weekend check-in on Quiltville's Open Studio.  I was dying to get back to my Grand Illusion but decided to do this first.  Love how this block came out and it has some leftover bits I grabbed (from the trash no less) at the mystery kickoff party.  I love my scraps--actually I love other people's scraps!  Way more fun to have lots of different fabrics in these!
We moved back downstairs to watch the game on the big TV.  Bug has her new Packer jersey on and we were ready to duke it out with Kathy for the win.  AND win we did!  GO PACK GO!  Great game and I am crossing my fingers the Pack goes all the way this year!
Last night my sciatic nerve was killing me so I had to stop about thirty blocks short of finishing clue one.  I spent the evening in bed alternating ice and heat.  This morning I decided to see if I could sit again and viola I finished clue one of Grand Illusion!  The kitty even approved it so we are good to go for this Friday when clue two comes out!
Well, time to clock in for work (the only good computer I have to use at the moment!) and have a full day but I will be checking out Bonnie's link up and commenting all day between calls!  Happy Cyber Monday folks!

Love the grey! I thought about that, but I have SO MANY black and whites that for me it was a use it up moment!!!

Isn't it fun it's link-up time again! Loved seeing your party on Bonnie's blog as well. Look after your back, you'll need it for the rest of the clues!

I like the colors you are using in the blocks and hopefully your back will let you finish all the steps!
