Sunday Best Flimsy is Done

I had a short shift at work today and was in a great mood...wound up with a difficult caller. It has absolutely ruined my day. I am tired of rude people who don't appreciate that interpreters work hard and are doing the best they can. I don't read minds (but believe me I come damn close sometimes) and I treat everyone with respect and expect that back from those I work with. Yelling at me (even in sign) does NOT improve my interpreting skills. And I am nationally certified and good at what I do. So this caller got to me and I can't shake it off....after some wine, some crying and general crankiness I got up and put the rest of this top together.
This is quilt number 102. I am very happy to have my February Schnibbles flimsy done. Make sure you check out the parade the end of the month and see everyone's!

Beautiful job! I love it! I am so sorry that you had a bad day at work. I've been having lots of bad days, and it is definitely NO FUN!

I'm so sorry that you were treated that way! I work with the public and I know how difficult some folks can be. I always refer to them as my 100th customer. Just remember, the other 99 customers appreciate everything you do. I had this customer one time that was so mad over something that no one could control. When I couldn't give her what she wanted, she spit her gum out on our floor and walked out. I remember thinking, "Wow, did she really do that?" Anyhow, nothing shocks me any more. LOL

Your quilt looks great! Good way to work out those frustrations.

I am so sorry you had that caller. You are a very nice person and do not need to be treated that way. Some people in today's world just do not appreciate what they get. Or do they know how to act when things happen.

Amy - I just can't believe you about the gum. WOW!!

I'm so sorry about the bad caller. I think interpreters are wonderful. You do a great service for the people that need you. I work in a doctor's office and we get alot of calls from interpreters. Thanks for doing this wonderful job! There are alot of people out there that do appreciate what you do.

Your quilt is wonderful too. It's good to have a hobby that will help keep you sane, huh? I am truly loving your Schnibbles quilts. Was this one a line of fabric or made from Scraps...I do not recognise these fabrics. Lovely. Thanks for sharing. Hugs, Linda

I'm so sorry you had to deal with someone like that. I don't "get" people who think they get more by being rude than by being nice. Thank goodness it's the weekend! Have a great one!

WOW you have been productive in spite of work related stress, rude, difficult people can ruin your day!
My DH always says "consider the source" .
You have more patience than me, I am not keen on BOM's like your historical quilt but I really admire them.
Hope you're feeling better, Andee.
Hugs
