Happy Fourth of July--Red, Red and Red!

Today I spent several hours organizing all of my red scraps by size and then cutting my red lozenges!  I will be linking up with SoScrappy's RSC Challenge later today!
I sewed up Nonsense for the Rainbow Scrap Challenge--I did not have enough of the background fabric so I did what Bonnie would do and just grabbed another.  Looks fine to me!
Here is Stripes, super easy...my kind of block!
I sewed up a few more tiny churn dashes.  Found this nice red while organizing my scraps and reds!
Becky came over and it was fun to catch up and sew...the other weekend she had to cancel and it seems like it has been forever!
Also sewed up Starz which was really fun and I know I have a pattern for a larger one somewhere, now I am not afraid to make it!

Here is Becky's sweet little doll quilt top she made today.

I already miss my machines, and it's only been a few days! So I am checking out others quilty activity and sighing with longing! I see how much you have done & I am envious.
We had a show and tell at the VHPA Quilters meeting so I haven't been completely denied anything quilty, but haven't had a chance to see any quilt shops in Louisville. Maybe in Boston……..
Missing everyone !
Hugs

You really got into the reds quickly - well done. I had great plans to work on them yesterday at quilt group, but I got stuck making a block for the Traditional to Modern sampler. It was a really day, I just had one of those times when I didn't like what I was making and the colours didn't work. Once I eventually changed my plan I raced through it.

Some great red blocks and I love the improvisation on the nonsense block. I notice you put your smaller triangles in toward the centre rather than the larger triangles. It looks like a totally different block.

I love how that nonsense block looks. So different. I might do mine like that, or maybe add that version to next months list xx
