Bonnie's Cheddary Challenge...

I can't believe it has been almost a year since since Bonnie Hunter issued her Cheddar Bow Tie Challenge http://quiltville.blogspot.com/search?q=Bow+Tie+Cheddar to us after being inspired by this quilt at Sister's Oregon (borrowed from Bonnie's blog) last July.  I was immediately smitten with it and tried doing it as a leaders and enders project...

however I found out real quick I preferred to do it more as an in between other things than as an in between each thing kind of thing, lol.  I loved each and every block and enjoyed trying to use as many different fabrics as I could.  I know that for years to come I will remember where the fabrics came from and because of that this is a really special quilt.  There is fabric from my grandma Nan, my Dad's shirts and pjs, the National Storytelling Festival, June's stash, my friend Tracy's donation fabric, and the various projects that I have been working on all year too.
