Blogger's Quilt Festival!

Amy at www.Amyscreativeside.com is having her annual Blogger's Quilt Festival. Last year I wanted to post my Double Delight but it was still at the longarmer, so this year it is still my favorite quilt so I am posting about it! This was Bonnie Hunter's mystery quilt and I enjoyed every step with my online group. I discovered how much I love cheddar colored fabric while making this quilt. And I love it so much that I won't even put it on my bed--which is what I made it for. One of our dogs chews, so for now it is folded up on the treadmill waiting its day.

I remember finishing up the border (which took hours on its own) at Quilt Camp and really being happy that I spent the extra time on the border because it really did bring the design all together.
Join the festival!

Your Double Delight is truly gorgeous! I didn't join in on this mystery and regretted it. I love the cheddar too! Great work on all the piecing and borders--it looks just wonderful. Thanks for sharing your quilt's story :)

Haha, the cheddar comment cracked me up. We show we are from WI by our cheese analogies, lol. This looks like a very time consuming and intricate quilt!

Wow, it's beautiful! I've never done a mystery, because what if I hated it? But yours is making me re-think this position! It's gorgeous! And the border is great!

What a great quilt. The border is perfect. Well worth the extra time it took. I'm looking forward to Bonnie's next mystery.

Oh my, we have a dog that chews quilts too. You are smart to put this out of the pup's reach. Maybe the dog needs to go to the treadmill.
Thanks for sharing.

What a charming quilt. It has a great antique feel with the cheddars and blues. Great job.
